For as much antipathy as Joe Buck’s presence in the booth generates among some baseball fans, I have generally always found him to be fine. Probably even better than fine.
So when he was in the booth for THE MOMENT in 2016, I was always good with it. His call, of course, wound up being pitch-perfect, and is now forever a part of Chicago Cubs history.
What we hadn’t seen before – heck, I’ve almost never seen anything like this – was how it looked from Buck’s perspective as he made the call at the close of the Cubs’ World Series win. This video is incredible, and it gave me some happy chills:
