Ian Happ had himself a heckuva game today, notching four hits and a walk while getting a half-rest day as the team’s Designated Hitter. And that’s where today’s bit of history comes in:
HISTORY MADE!
… ok, so, strictly speaking, not a lot of opportunities for that particular bit of history to be made given that the Designated Hitter became a permanent part of the National League only two full seasons ago. Still! It was a great game, and I very much enjoyed his work in today’s Cubs win.
