Rockies starter Kyle Freeland was having serious trouble finding the strike zone to start tonight’s game, with his only called strike through a batter and a half being a 3-0 auto-strike call that was out of the zone.
By the time he finally threw an actual strike, Seiya Suzuki was ready:
Good gravy. Seiya has been SMASHING the ball this year, and he got rewarded for it on that one. That was only 16 degrees of launch angle, which should be almost IMPOSSIBLE to take out to center field. How do you do it? Well you hit it 115.0 mph like Suzuki just did. Unreal. The hardest hit ball of his MLB career.
You know who that kind of homer reminds me of? Giancarlo Stanton.
