I don’t really want to joke around with that headline, odd as it may be, because it actually sounds pretty scary.
From Brewers beat writer Adam McCalvy: “From the Dept. of Weird and Unfortunate Injuries: Brewers reliever Trevor Megill fainted in a Spectrum store on Mondayโs off day and landed on the concussion IL this morning. JB Bukauskas is taking his place.”
Megill, a former Cubs reliever, has been a breakout back-end option in his time with the Brewers. Over his first 36.2 innings in Milwaukee, Megill has posted a 3.44 ERA, a 2.12 FIP, a whopping 35.0% K rate, and an 8.3% BB rate. Losing him for any period of time is not ideal for the Brewers, particularly when they are already without closer Devin Williams for a while longer.
