For Michael Busch, the results finally started catching up to his underlying performance on Wednesday, when he logged three hits against the Rockies at Wrigley Field. And the good times continued today against the Dodgers.
In his first plate appearance of the day, Busch worked a seven-pitch walk. And in his second chance, he saw five pitches before lifting the sixth into the right field basket for his firs home run in a Cubs uniform – and just the third big league home run of his career.
That homer left the bat at 109 MPH. Busch is now slashing .353/.455/.529 (160 wRC+) on the early season. What a start for him.
