I am glad to see that Jason Heyward will get another shot after the Los Angeles Dodgers let him go.
The 35-year-old former Cub, who’d seen a resurgence with the Dodgers in 2023 and fallen off in 2024, will be signing with the Houston Astros:
Although his time in Chicago was disappointing for all sides, with the exception of a VERY, VERY good night in Cleveland, Jason Heyward remained at all times a hard-working, class-acting, great teammate. He was just a good dude all around, and I wish him nothing but the best with the Astros.
I don’t love the idea of pulling for the Astros to make a run in the postseason so that Heyward can join them in it, but then I didn’t much care for the Dodgers either. So whatever.
