The post-clinch Phillies looked more or less like a club that had a deservedly excellent time last night. No criticism here whatsoever.
In any case, the Cubs clobbered the Phillies tonight, with just about everyone getting in on the action. Big nights especially for Cody Bellinger and Nico Hoerner (co-Ankin Law “Making It Personal” Players of the Game). It’s kinda funny that the Cubs went only 4 for 18 with runners in scoring position, but still scored 10 runs without the benefit of a homer. Lotttta baserunners.
Michael Busch left the game early. He took a pitch off his right arm, maybe just above the elbow, and, although stayed in to run the bases, he was thereafter pulled on defense. Hopefully just a case of “eh, it doesn’t feel great, don’t make him throw, but he’s probably fine.”
Justin Steele finishes up his season with a fine outing, and presumably remains healthy. That’s all that matters.
