Today, Major League Baseball announced two very-much-needed changes to the uniform situation.
Firstly, uniforms are basically going back to the way they were before the whole tiny-lettering-see-through-pants-wow-lots-of-sweat debacle of the past year. That was just a no-brainer change, given how things played out this season. It’ll take a while to fully implement this change, though, and it’ll partly roll out throughout 2025, and then be complete in total for 2026.
Second, and less impactfully but even more welcome, home jerseys are coming back for the All-Star Game:
No more uniform uniforms for the All-Star Game, as it’s been the last few years. Instead, we’re going back to seeing players in their actual team uniforms, as it was before 2020.
