Officially Official: Chicago Cubs Acquire Kyle Tucker

Kyle Tucker adds to the Cubs payroll.
Kyle Tucker adds to the Cubs payroll.

The Chicago Cubs have made it officially official: Kyle Tucker is here. The team just sent the announcement, with Tucker coming to the Cubs in exchange for Isaac Paredes, Hayden Wesneski, and Cam Smith.

Now we just wait to see if the Cody Bellinger trade – whatever shape it takes – comes down soon, or if the Cubs are going to have to play a longer game, even with Tucker in tow.

Also, there is now an open 40-man roster spot if the Cubs have any other outstanding business to take care of (like signing Carson Kelly).

If you missed any of the earlier coverage on the crazy day:

The trade as it was developing.

The Cubs have landed their superstar.

Breaking down the trade cost.

Miscellaneous additional Tucker fun.
