It’s never too early to get prepared to win your fantasy football league, and that’s exactly what we’ll be aiming to do today. Through the DraftHero mock draft simulator app on 4for4, I’ve run a 10-team mock draft to get a broad idea of player values and what types of macro-level strategies we can see forming ahead of the NFL season.
Today we’ll be using ESPN scoring settings, with a single quarterback and PPR scoring. The full 2024 fantasy football mock draft board will be inserted at the end of the article, showcasing the likes of Atlanta Falcons RB Bijan Robinson, Los Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua, and Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb helping control the beginning of this 10-team mock draft.
We will begin incorporating both PK and D/ST in this mock to give a good idea of what a full-fledged team will look like in 10-Team Mock Drafts.

10-Team Mock Draft: Rounds 1-4
Biggest Reach: Travis Kelce, TE, Kansas City Chiefs (Round 2, Pick 8)
Travis Kelce finished TE2, but it was a down year by his standards. His 984 yards were his fewest since 2015, and well off his 2016-2022 average of 1,230 yards per season. His 11.5 per-game average (half-PPR) was a pretty significant drop from 2022 (15.9) and 2021 (13.7). Both his yards per reception (10.6) and his yards per target (8.1) were career-lows.
I think it’s safe to say that the soon-to-be 35-year-old’s elite production days are behind him, though he still offers high-end TE1 production in the Chiefs’ potent offense.
Biggest Fall: Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Arizona Cardinals (Round 3, Pick 1)
With Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore gone, the Cardinals have the fifth-most vacated targets (217) and Harrison will soak up most of them. He’s landing in a fantastic situation from an opportunity and quarterback standpoint and will immediately be in the fantasy WR2 mix with upside from there.
Matt Harmon compared Harrison’s profile to Ja’Marr Chase coming out of college and added that Harrison “easily was one of the best prospects” he has charted for Reception Perception.
10-Team Mock Draft: Rounds 5-8
Takeaways
The quarterback position has been pushed way up boards compared to in years past. In Standard and Half-PPR fantasy football leagues, a majority of the top 12 options go in this range, and are practically done with by the double-digit rounds. A huge departure from recent history. Josh Allen kicks things off all the way back in Round 3, and the 12 teams typically have all of their QBs by the time we get out of these middle rounds.
The 2024 NFL season will have to be incredibly top-heavy for all of these options to hit. Once we’re talking in the range of 1-2 fantasy points per game separating whole tiers of players, we may want to zig into the RBs and WRs while other fantasy managers fight during a run of QBs.
10-Team Mock Draft: Rounds 9-11
Biggest Reach: Najee Harris, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers (Round 9, Pick 5)
Despite seeing the 15th-most touches (253 through Week 17), Najee Harris finished RB26, two spots behind his more efficient teammate, Jaylen Warren.
Warren’s touches increased from 10.6 to 13.9 when comparing the first half of the season to the second half. That increased workload may or may not carry over now that there’s a new offensive coordinator (Arthur Smith) in town. Smith is known to use his players in frustrating ways from a fantasy perspective. Interestingly, Warren’s increased usage did not come at Harris’s expense.
Harris saw his touches increase from 14.4 to 18.8 from the first half to the second half of the season. (Harris/Warren combined to average 25.0 touches from Week 1 to Week 8 compared to 32.7 touches from Week 9 to Week 18, so Pittsburgh was much more RB-oriented in the back half of the season.) The Steelers figure to be very run-heavy under Smith so there should be room for both Harris and Warren in 15+ touch roles.
10-Team Mock Draft: Rounds 12-14
Takeaways
Depending on your particular league settings, you are either forced to leave your draft with a kicker and a defense, or you are not. I decided to enforce that rule in this draft to have a better idea of what a full team in a 10-team mock draft is going to look like. If your league forces you to leave the draft with both, I would prefer to select my D/ST and kicker in the final two rounds. Some of my favorite D/ST picks at cost so far have been the San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Chargers, New York Giants, Los Angeles Rams, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Biggest Fall: Tyjae Spears, RB, Tennessee Titans (Round 12, Pick 7)
Tyjae Spears had a very impressive rookie season, compiling almost 850 yards from scrimmage and caught 52 passes. All while Derrick Henry was still rumbling. Spears had seven games with at least five targets. No reason to think his involvement in the passing game is going to diminish anytime soon.
