Fantasy Football QB Rankings, Who Should I Add Off Waiver Wires:
Sam Darnold (Vikings) was the highest recommended QB waiver wire pickup this week.
Analysis
Last week, I threw all my hats into the Derek Carr ring and tossed one beat-up visor into Sam Darnold’s. My mistake. Or at least that’s what Week 3 would have us believe.
While Carr came crashing back to earth against a previously porous Eagles defense, Darnold was an absolute stud against the Texans, to the tune of 181 yards and four touchdowns. That’s now eight passing scores on the young season for Darnold — most in the NFL. His 117.3 passer rating isn’t far behind and his 8.4 yards per attempt are top-five as well.
Last week, I said I wasn’t convinced Darnold was fixed just yet. I’m still not. But my Fix’o’Meter ratched up from a 3.6 to 7.9 (out of 10, of course) on Sunday.
If you’re in need at the quarterback position, Darnold is the front-runner on waivers and should be a fringe starter in most one-QB leagues and a must-start in two-QB leagues.

Who are the best sleeper options in the Week 4 Fantasy Football QB Rankings?
Here are two of the best options to pick up on waiver wires, depending on your league size.
Andy Dalton (Panthers) vs. Bengals
Dalton’s season debut couldn’t have been much better. He completed 26 of 37 pass attempts against the Raiders, throwing for 319 yards and three touchdowns. That marked his second start over the last two seasons. In Week 3 last year, he threw for 361 yards and two touchdowns against the Seahawks.
The Panthers offense is not void of weapons. Dionte Johnson took off last week, catching eight of 14 targets for 122 yards and a touchdown. Running back Chuba Hubbard can be a weapon catching passes out of the backfield and he showed that, posting five receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown against the Raiders.
The Panthers don’t seem to view Dalton as just a game manager, so he should have enough opportunities to air things out to be worth streaming against the Bengals, who Jayden Daniels carved up on Monday. Dalton is available in 95% of Yahoo leagues.
Daniel Jones (Giants) vs. Cowboys
It looked like another disaster was in store for the Giants after they fumbled the opening kickoff against the Browns.
On the very next play, the Browns scored a touchdown. However, their defense performed well for the rest of the game and Jones lead the Giants to 21 points. He threw for a season-high 236 yards while adding 20 rushing yards on eight carries. The most promising stat was his two touchdown passes.
Jones had two passing touchdowns over six games last season. He already has four through three games this year. The Cowboys have been a tough matchup for him. In eight career meetings, he has a combined four touchdown passes. However, this is the best offensive line that he has played with in years, so there might not be as much pressure in his face this time around.
Also, the Cowboys rank 21st in aFPA to quarterbacks this season. Jones is still available in 94% of Yahoo leagues, so he’s worth a look in deep formats.
