Fantasy football sleepers are players who are expected to outperform their preseason expectations and provide excellent value for fantasy team owners. Week 6 of the NFL season is always full of surprises, and it’s important to move with the tide of the season, but with only a few weeks in the books, it’s equally important not to overreact.
So, while starting 1-4 or 2-3 is always a disappointment, you don’t want to tear down the house just because one player underperformed.

Week 6 Fantasy Football Sleepers: Quarterbacks
Geno Smith, Seahawks (vs. SF, 24)
With 284/1 plus 72 yards rushing last week, Geno Smith is currently the fantasy QB7 on the year. He has scored 17+ in four of his last five games.
He has historically struggled against the 49ers, but San Francisco just gave up 24.1 points to Kyler Murray and yielded 19.9 points to Sam Darnold in Week 1.
Kirk Cousins, Falcons (@ CAR, 30)
Carolina has given up an average of 241 yards and 2.0 touchdowns to enemy quarterbacks. The Panthers are the third-worst in Pass EPA/Play. Cousins has been a little spotty, but he delivered 509/4 in a similar matchup against the Bucs last week.

Week 6 Fantasy Football Sleepers: Running Backs
Chase Brown, Bengals (@ NYG, 8)
Our injury expert, Jeff Mueller, believes that Zack Moss may have suffered a high-ankle sprain, so we need to watch his practice participation this week.
If Moss is out, Brown is a top-20 play. He out-touched Moss 15-to-12 in Week 5 and 32-to-31 in the last two games. In that span, Brown has turned 32 touches into 146 yards and three touchdowns. The Giants have been pretty good against the run, but they are yielding 5.0 yards per carry and 134 total yards per game to enemy backfields.
J.K. Dobbins, Chargers (@ DEN, 19)
Dobbins is averaging 16.5 touches for 97 yards and 0.5 touchdowns per game. The Denver defense is playing well, so this isn’t a no-brainer matchup play, though the Broncos have given up an average of 117 yards and 0.6 touchdowns to opposing running backs thus far.

Week 6 Fantasy Football Sleepers: Wide Receivers
Darnell Mooney, Falcons (@ CAR, 23)
After his 9-105-2 (16) outing against the Bucs, Darnell Mooney is now the fantasy WR14 on the season. He has posted at least 56 yards receiving in four straight games.
The Panthers have given up big games to D.J. Moore (5-105-2), Ja’Marr Chase (3-85-1), Tre Tucker (7-96-1), Jakobi Meyers (7-62-1), Quentin Johnston (5-51-2), and Rashid Shaheed (3-73-1) this season.
Rashid Shaheed, Saints (vs. TB, 29)
Last week, Shaheed caught 4-of-9 targets for 86 yards and a touchdown and is the WR13 on the season. The Bucs have yielded an average of 16.4 catches for 176 yards and 1.0 touchdown to enemy wide receivers this season.

Week 6 Fantasy Football Sleepers: Tight Ends
Isaiah Likely, Ravens (vs. WAS, 9)
The Commanders are seventh-worst in Pass EPA/Play and are yielding 215/2.2 through the air. They haven’t been bad against tight ends, but they haven’t exactly faced any elite (or even very good) tight ends, other than maybe David Njoku last week. Likely has been spotty, but he has three touchdowns on the year.
Cole Kmet, Bears (vs. JAX, 24)
Kmet might be elbowed out of targets with all the Bears’ receivers healthy, but he has caught at least three passes in each of the last four games, including 10-97-1 against the Colts in Week 3. The Jaguars have given up usable games to Mo Alie-Cox (2-37-1) and Dalton Kincaid (3-41-1) thus far.
