Fantasy Football QB Rankings, Who Should I Add Off Waiver Wires:
Drake Maye (Patriots) was the highest recommended QB waiver wire pickup this week.
Analysis
Through his first two NFL starts, Drake Maye is averaging 260 passing yards, 2.5 touchdown passes, 28 rushing yards, and one interception per game. That’s 21.2 fantasy points in most scoring formats, which would make him a high-end QB1.
Should things stay the same (or get better) for the youngster, he would be a must-add and potentially a must-play in fantasy. However, I do need to temper your expectations. His two starts came against soft matchups in the Texans and Jaguars. Four of his next five starts come against tough opponents, including games against the Jets, Bears, and Dolphins — all top-five in adjusted fantasy points allowed to the position.
I still like adding Maye, but if you have an alternative streamer, you may want to roll with them for most of these contests.

Who are the best sleeper options in the Week 8 Fantasy Football QB Rankings?
Here are two of the best options to pick up on waiver wires, depending on your league size.
Bo Nix (Broncos) vs. Panthers
The Broncos dismantled the Saints on Thursday Night Football, scoring 33 points in their victory. Despite them putting so many points on the board, Nix threw for just 164 yards and did not record a touchdown pass. However, he did help salvage his stat line by rushing 10 times for 75 yards.
Nix has shown an ability to do damage with his legs, posting three games with at least 47 rushing yards. He also has three rushing touchdowns. The Broncos shouldn’t have problems putting points on the board against the Panthers, who have allowed an average of 34.7 points per game.
They also rank 30th in aFPA to quarterbacks. The stars could be aligning for Nix to have one of his better stat lines of the season.
Russell Wilson (Steelers) vs. Giants
Despite having a winning record, the Steelers decided to make a change at quarterback by replacing Justin Fields with Wilson. Wilson was added to the team during the offseason to presumably be the starter, but a calf injury sidelined him to begin the season. It then took some struggles from Fields for Wilson to claim the starting job.
With Wilson producing an excellent stat line against the Jets, he had one of the better performances by a quarterback in Week 7. He will face another struggling New York team in the Giants in Week 8, who were blown out by the Eagles and saw their top cornerback Deonte Banks have his effort questioned again after he failed to chase down a scrambling Jalen Hurts.
The Giants’ defense is also missing Kayvon Thibodeaux (wrist), leaving them without one of their best pass rushers. It will be difficult for Wilson to produce three total touchdowns again, but he’s still worth considering in deep formats.
