Fantasy football busts are a sad, but important aspect of fielding a consistent winning team across the length of the long and sometimes arduous season.
Week 11 of the NFL season is always full of surprises, and it’s important to move with the tide of the season, but with only a few weeks in the books, it’s equally important not to overreact.

On the other hand, there’s no reason to continue rolling out players who are underperforming only to watch the score sit close to zero while he continues seeing nominal utilization. Below, we are going to run through every fantasy roster position and find some Week 11 Fantasy Football Busts that should remain on your bench or find themselves on the waiver wire.

Week 11 Fantasy Football Busts: Quarterbacks
Kirk Cousins @ Broncos
The vibes in the Mile High City arenโt conducive to success for Kirk Cousins this weekend. The Broncos have only let one QB score over 17.8 points this season, and that was Lamar Jackson in Baltimore. The average fantasy output for all opposing QBs in Denver this season is a measly 11.6. Sorry, Kirk, but itโs bench time for you.
Patrick Mahomes @ Bills
Heโs been in this column a lot so far this season, but Patrick Mahomes seems to be alternating vibes from week to week. He has a tough task on Sunday in Buffalo, as the Bills defense sits seventh in QB aFPA, surrendering just 14.0 fantasy points per contest this season to opposing QBs. Heโs a risky start in single QB leagues and may just be a Superflex play in Week 11.

Week 11 Fantasy Football Busts: Running Backs
Tony Pollard vs. Vikings
Last week was a mediocre one for Tony Pollard who had just 44 rushing yards on nine carries, with four receptions for 19 yards. On Sunday, heโll face a Minnesota defense that has only allowed three rushing touchdowns all season to enemy RBs and the second-fewest in RB aFPA in half-PPR scoring. Tyjae Spears is also back to cut into his volume in an already stout matchup.
Travis Etienne @ Lions
He led the Jaguars RBs in touches last week with 12, yet Travis Etienne only put up 4.8 fantasy points in half-PPR scoring. His fantasy output has been single digits in four of his last five games, oh, and he faces a Lions’ defense that is surrendering the fourth-fewest rushing yards per game (70.8). The game could get ugly early, and the game script won’t be in Etienneโs favor.

Week 11 Fantasy Football Busts: Wide Receivers
Brian Thomas Jr. @ Lions
Last week was a juicy matchup for Brian Thomas Jr., but with Mac Jones under center, he was held to just 12 yards on two catches. Itโs been a rough skid for the rookie as heโd scored single-digits in half-PPR scoring two weeks in a row, and now itโs tough to trust Thomas or anyone in this offense with Jones at the helm.
DeAndre Hopkins @ Bills
He has clear chemistry with Patrick Mahomes, as theyโve connected for fantasy goodness since DeAndre Hopkins arrived in Kansas City, but this week doesn’t feel like the good vibes are there for Nuk. The Bills have allowed only seven touchdowns to WRs this season, and only three of them were at home. Itโs difficult to trust a KC WR in any given week since Mahomes spreads it around, as seven wideouts see targets every contest. This week, consider Hopkins a WR3/flex at best.
