The Houston Rockets have moved on from Kevin Porter Jr. in the wake of assault charges. The 23-year-old was arrested earlier this offseason after allegedly attacking his girlfriend in a New York City hotel.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Houston will send Porter Jr. and two future second-round picks to Oklahoma City. The Thunder will immediately waive Porter Jr. and send Victor Oladipo and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl to the Rockets. OKC is now on the books for the guaranteed $16.9 million remaining on Porter Jr.’s deal
Porter Jr. has already been away from the Houston Rockets since the incident. His NBA future will be in the hands of the league office as he continues to go through the court process.
