Let the chaos begin. It’s almost time for March Madness 2023. The best teams in the country are about to compete for a shot at a men’s and women’s national championship. Here is what you need to know about the 2023 March Madness Schedule.

NCAA Men’s and Women’s NCAA Basketball Tournaments

The Division I Men’s NCAA tournament consists of a 68-team field while the women’s tournament moved to 68 teams in 2022. Each conference is represented thanks to an automatic bid given to the conference tournament winner. The rest of the teams are chosen by a selection committee based on team performance and resumes.

The Kansas Jayhawks will be looking for back-to-back championships after winning the title last year in the men’s bracket. They will face a tough group of teams such as the likes of Purdue, Alabama, Baylor, and more.

Selection Sunday Shows and Times

Selection Sunday begins at 6 p.m. eastern time with the announcement of the men’s bracket. The women’s bracket is announced after at 8 p.m. eastern time. Teams are seeded from 1-16 and placed in four different regions around the country.

The First Four: March 14-15

March Madness starts with First Four. You can catch the First Four games in Dayton, Ohio at UD Arena.

First and Second Round: March 16-19

The tournament picks up from Ohio and continues with the First and Second rounds. These rounds take place at several locations across the country. You can watch the top teams at the following locations:

For the teams who survive the chaos of the first and second rounds, they will compete at the following locations for the Sweet 16 and Elite 8:

New York, NY at Madison Square Garden
Kansas City, MO at T-Mobile Center
Louisville, KY at KFC Yum! Center

Final Four: April 1

After winning four-straight games, teams reach the Final Four. It begins on April 1, 2023. The two semifinal games will be played at NRG Stadium in Houston.

National Championship Game: April 3

It all comes down to this. The National Championship game will take place on April 3, 2023. The game is played at NRG Stadium. It’s the conclusion of the college basketball season.

Women’s NCAA Tournament Schedule

Here’s a look at when the tournament for March Madness starts for the women.

The First Four

Like the men’s tournament, the women’s starts with First Four games on March 15-16.

First and Second Round

The First and Second rounds take place from March 17-20.

Sweet 16 and Elite 8

The Sweet 16 and Elite 8 run from March 24-27.

Final Four

The Final Four is on March 31, 2023. It’s at American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas.
