Arizona Cardinals 7-Round Mock Draft

News, NFL

The Arizona Cardinals are not quite in a full rebuild but need a lot of help in order to return to being competitive. QB Kyler Murray is coming off a torn ACL late in the season and may not even be ready for Week 1. There are rumors about them trading Deandre Hopkins and the defense is in shambles. In this 7-Round Arizona Cardinals Mock Draft, they land a combination of their needs and the best player available.

The Cardinals have 8 selections this year including picks 3, 34, 66, 96, 105, 168, 180, 213. They need help on the defensive line, edge, wide receiver, and cornerback.

Arizona Cardinals 7-Round Mock Draft

This Arizona Cardinals Mock Draft does not feature them trading out of the third overall pick. With that said, I still think there is a good chance they will be able to trade down when we consider they have a handful of needs to fill. Adding capital could be the best way to do that.

Round 1 (No. 3)

Pick: Tyree Wilson, EDGE, Texas Tech

If the Cardinals can’t trade the first overall pick, I expect them to take one of Will Anderson or Tyree Wilson.

Wilson wound up being the selection because there are rumors that the Cardinals are not fans of Anderson’s upside. Anderson would undoubtedly be a solid addition to a talent-depraved roster, but Wilson has significantly more upside in the eyes of the NFL.

Round 2 (No. 34)

Pick: Dawand Jones, OT, Ohio State

The Cardinals need help along the offensive line badly, and Jones could instantly start. He was a two-year starter at Ohio State and didn’t allow a single sack last season.

Round 3 (No. 66)

Pick: Luke Wypler, C, Ohio State

In this Arizona Cardinals mock draft they double down on Ohio State players with Luke Wypler. He was also a two-year starter in Columbus and didn’t allow a single sack in those two years.

Round 3 (No. 96)

Pick: Garrett Wiliams, CB, Syracuse

This is the Cardinals’ second third-round pick and is a compensatory one. Williams is a big swing for them as he is coming off a torn ACL but has the talent to make a big impact for them if his recovery goes well.

Round 4 (No. 105)

Pick: Nick Herbig, EDGE, Wisconsin

Herbig is a fantastic value in this mock as his average mock position is 85th and we would be getting him with the 105th pick. Herbig had 20 sacks combined over the past two years at Wisconsin but is a bit on the smaller side at just 6’2, 240 pounds.

Round 5 (No. 168)

Pick: Cory Trice, CB, Purdue

Trice saw his draft stock shoot up in 2022 after allowing a sub-50% completion rate and just one touchdown to two interceptions. This would continue to address a major positional need for the Cardinals.

Round 6 (No. 180)

Pick: Jalen Moreno-Cropper, WR, Fresno State

Moreno-Cropper is a good route runner but comes in at only 5’11, 172 pounds. His production at the collegiate level is tough to ignore, though, after nearly 2,000 combined receiving yards in 2021 and 2022.

Round 7 (No. 213)

Pick: Dorian Thompson-Robinson

Thompson-Robinson is an incredibly raw prospect that might be able to learn from Kyler Murray in a similar mold given their athletic profiles.
