San Francisco 49ers 7-Round Mock Draft
The 49ers are in an incredible position to make a run at a Super Bowl in 2023, as long as they have a healthy, competent quarterback. They had three starting quarterbacks get injured last season and during the NFC Championship game, their backup got injured as well.
In this San Francisco 49ers Mock Draft, they address a combination of grabbing the best player available and addressing their needs.
The 49ers have 11 total draft picks, with seven of them being compensatory picks. They don’t have a single pick in the first two rounds, however, and will select their first player at pick 99. They also have picks 101, 102, 155, 164, 173, 216, 222, 247, 253, and 255. They need to continue adding depth at cornerback, tackle, center, and guard.

San Francisco 49ers 7-Round Mock Draft
In this San Francisco 49ers Mock Draft, they throw as many darts as possible at positions of need. Since all of their picks are in the middle rounds, they will not be in the running for any blue-chip players but will be relying on lesser-known prospects.
Round 3 (No. 99)
Pick: Garrett Williams, CB, Syracuse
This 49ers mock draft starts with addressing a primary need at cornerback. They are currently slated to start Deommodore Lenoir at cornerback, who was Pro Football Focuses’ 74th-ranked cornerback out of 118 total qualifying players. Williams is coming off a torn ACL but is a natural talent at the position and would likely be selected much higher without the injury.
Round 3 (No. 101)
Pick: Chandler Zavala, OG, NC State
Zavala didn’t play a ton prior to 2022 but didn’t allow a single sack last year as a starter. At 6’5, 325 pounds, Zavala is a project that could pan out for the 49ers who currently have Aaron Banks slotted to start at offensive guard. Banks ranked 48th of 77 qualifying guards last year according to PFF.
Round 3 (No. 102)
Pick: Juice Scruggs, C, Penn State
Scruggs was originally a guard at Penn State and played 685 snaps there in 2021. He played 886 snaps at center last year and only allowed 10 hurries, 3 hits, and one sack.
Round 5 (No. 155)
Pick: Cory Trice, CB, Purdue
Trice allowed just a 51.3 passer rating and 220 yards on 359 coverage snaps last season. He also added two interceptions and performed well in run defense.
Round 5 (No. 164)
Pick: Jordan McFadden, OT, Clemson
McFadden is a multi-year starter at Clemson and played right tackle his first season but slid over to left tackle his final season. He performed really well in zone blocking, something the 49ers tend to do a lot of.
McFadden should be considered an underrated addition in this San Francisco 49ers Mock Draft.
Round 5 (No. 173)
Pick: Valliami Fehoko, EDGE, San Jose State Spartans
Fehoko can line up all over the defensive line and racked up 12 sacks, 50 hurries, and 66 total pressures. He is 12th on PFF’s big board so at pick 173 he could be a steal.
Round 6 (No. 216)
Pick: Anthony Bradford, OG, LSU
Bradford played left tackle in 2021 but switched to right guard in 2022. He has the right size and stature at 6’4″ and 332 pounds but struggled at times with pass blocking in 2022. He was a dominant run-blocker, though, and the 49ers could be willing to take a chance on the strong tangibles.
Round 7 (No. 222)
Pick: Jake Bobo, WR, UCLA
Bobo finished his final season at UCLA with 817 yards on 57 receptions, averaging 14.3 yards per reception. He is a big slot who didn’t test well but is an excellent route runner.
Round 7 (No. 247)
Pick: Stetson Bennett, QB, Georgia
If they want to move on from Trey Lance or are concerned about Brock Purdy’s recovery, adding another quarterback could make a lot of sense. Bennett was excellent at Georgia but lacks a lot of the traits that tend to lead to NFL success.
Round 7 (No. 253)
Pick: Mikel Jones, LB, Syracuse
Two Syracuse players fell into San Francisco’s laps in this 49ers mock draft. Mikel was really strong as a pass-rusher last year, earning an 88.1 grade from Pro Football Focus.
Round 7 (No. 255)
Pick: Thomas Incoom, EDGE, Central Michigan
Incoom is the final selection for this San Francisco 49ers Mock Draft. Incoom racked up 11 sacks last season and 7 the season prior for the Chippewas.
