Tournament Format
The RBC Canadian Open is a traditional stroke-play event. The initial field of 156 players is cut to 65 including ties after the first two rounds. With the player holding the lowest score after the 72-hole tournament taking home the trophy.
Where/When does the 2023 RBC Canadian Open tee off?
The 2023 RBC Canadian Open is at the Oakdale Golf and Country Club in Toronto, Ontario.
This season’s tournament tees off this Thursday, June 8th and concludes Sunday, June 11th.
Tournament Field
Coming before one of the sports’ four Major Tournaments has a pretty significant affect on the field. There are only two players ranked inside the OWGR top 10 participating. With two-time defending champ Rory McIlroy being one of them. Additionally, there isn’t a single player inside the top 10 of FedEx Cup rankings. The top FedEx Cup player will be Sam Burns, who is currently 12th.
2023 RBC Canadian Open opening odds
Rory McIlroy is the tournament’s highest ranked player and he’s won the last events north of the border. It should then come as no surprise that he opens as the clear favorite at 5-1 this week.
Behind him, there are only eight other golfers with odds of 20-1 or shorter. With no other player inside 12-1. You can check out all the opening RBC Canadian Open odds HERE.
