NASCAR is at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the legendary Coca-Cola 600 with Cup Series drivers preparing for the longest race of the year, and a hefty payday on the line for the race winner. But how much is on the line exactly, and how is that prize money divvied up? We’ll dive into the Coca-Cola 600 purse, revealing the estimated winner’s share and review the past Coca-Cola 600 winners.
Coca-Cola 600 Purse

The Coca-Cola 600 is one of NASCARโs crown jewel races, celebrating and honoring our fallen heroes during Memorial Day Weekend. In addition to the tremendous amount of recognition drivers receive for winning it, is a very large payday which accounts for around 8-10 percent of the Coca-Cola 600 purse. That’s a little less than half as much as this weekend’s Indy 500 purse but one of stock car racing’s largest payouts of the season.
What is the 2024 Coca-Cola 600 Total Purse?
According to Fox Sports NASCAR reporter Bob Pockrass, the total Coca-Cola 600 purse is just over $9.8 million. This yearโs total purse is about $400,000 more than last seasonโs and should award the winner between $700,000 to $900,000.
