With the College Football Playoff Final in the books, we’re starting to see the draft-eligible players declare their intention to enter the NFL Draft this spring today. Georgia’s Jalen Carter — who might be on the Bears radar — already declared this morning.
Another top prospect from Georgia is making it official as cornerback Kelee Ringo declared his intention to enter the NFL Draft just hours after the Georgia Bulldogs won their second straight national championship.
The Athletic’s Dane Bugler has Ringo ranked as the No. 6 prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft and PFF has him at No. 15.
Ringo’s career with the Bulldogs includes two CFP titles, 76 tackles, and four interceptions in two seasons in Athens. Ringo was credited with just one tackle in last night’s blowout victory over TCU, but made five tackles, logged a pass defended and forced a fumble against Ohio State in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl on New Year’s Eve.
Here’s the play where Ringo forced the fumble against the Buckeyes, a really impressive play in which he started as a blitzer and turned it around to catch up to Marvin Harrison Jr. and force the fumble with a punch to the ball.
Here’s Ringo stifling Marvin Harrison Jr. on another play in the CFP Semi-Final on New Year’s Eve:
