“Deal With Us!” Chiefs Radio Crew Has Epic AFC Championship Call

Chicago Bears, NFL

You can love the Chiefs. You can hate the Chiefs. You can be indifferent about the Chiefs. But there’s no denying how OUTSTANDING the radio call was when they beat the Bengals on Sunday.

The call came after the final play of Kansas City’s 23-20 win over the Bengals on Sunday – a failed Bengals’ lateral attempt after the Chiefs’ game-winning field goal.

The win marked the first for Patrick Mahomes over Joe Burrow in head-to-head NFL competition. Prior to this matchup, Mahomes and the Chiefs were 0-3 against Burrow & the Bengals (including Cincinnati’s win in last year’s AFC Championship game in Kansas City). Along with that, there was a lot of trash talk about Mahomes and the Chiefs’ inability to get the better of the Bengals. That helps this call feel a little more “earned.”

Because, yeah. It’s an awesome call. And it’s always cool hearing the hometown emotion on these broadcasts following big wins like this. Here’s to next year hearing Jeff Joniak telling Bears fans to “grab a bucket of guts” after an NFC Championship win. Hey, a Bears fan can dream.
