Tom Brady’s Broadcast Career Won’t Begin Until 2024
Unless you have been living under a rock the past week, you know Tom Brady announced his retirement from the NFL (again).
(Michael: If you’re a Bears fan, like I am, you might want to know how that could be good news for Chicago this offseason).
Last year shortly after announcing his first retirement, Brady signed a deal to join the NFL on FOX broadcast team for a whopping $375 million over 10 years. Brady of course unretired not long after and played this past season for Tampa.
Tom Brady was a guest on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” this morning, when he revealed FOX was letting him begin his broadcast career in the fall of 2024.
Brady told Cowherd, “[I will] take some time to really learn, become great at what I want to do, become great at thinking about the opportunity, and make sure I don’t rush into anything.”
This retirement sure has the feeling that it will stick, at least more than the last one. That said, Brady delaying his broadcasting career until 2024 does leave the door slightly open for him to jump at the right opportunity in the NFL if it were to present itself.
