Super Bowl LVII: Everything You Need to Know, Preview, and Predictions

NFL

We’re just two days away from the biggest holiday in sports, the Super Bowl. Chips, dips, and backflips when the Super Bowl square hits. That means it’s time for the BN Super Bowl Preview. Even as a baseball fan at the core, the Super Bowl has always been one of my favorite days of the year.

I remember waking up early as a kid on Super Bowl Sunday and watching the replays of all the classic Super Bowls for hours until the pregame festivities kicked off. Friends and family gathering, and for us Bears fans, usually with no rooting interest. It’s always a good time.

This year we have a pair of 14-win teams squaring off in the desert on Sunday in Super Bowl LVII

Freshly minted MVP Patrick Mahomes is looking for Super Bowl No. 2. Andy Reid is looking to beat his former team. The Eagles have looked like a machine for much of the season. Philadelphia sprints to leads early and leans on their opponents with their dynamic rushing attack.

It should be a good one. Here’s what you need to know and our BN staff predictions:

Chiefs Notes

  • Kansas City makes its third Super Bowl appearance in past four years & fifth in franchise history.
  • Andy Reid has 21 career postseason wins, second-most ever by a head coach.
  • Chiefs led NFL in total offense (413.6 yards per game) for third consecutive season and led in scoring offense (29.2 points per game).
  • Patrick Mahomes can join Tom Brady as only QBs to start three Super Bowls in first six career seasons.
  • Mahomes passed for 326 yards and touchdowns vs. zero interceptions for 105.4 a rating in AFC Championship.

Super Bowl Predictions, Scores, and MVPs

As hard as it is to bet against Patrick Mahomes, this Eagles roster is too darn good to go against. I’m going with the Eagles in a narrow win, and I think Haason Reddick will do some damage and win the Super Bowl MVP.
