NFL Scouting Combine Workout Dates
Early arrivals for registration begin on February 26 with the defensive linemen and linebackers. Each day, more player groups will arrive to show off and test their skills before the 2023 NFL Draft. The event officially starts on Tuesday, February 28 in Indy and runs until Monday, March 6.
The scouting combine schedule has the prospects broken up by position group for the week-long event. The different portions of the combine include broadcast interviews, media interviews, measurements, and on-field workouts.

History of the NFL Combine
Tex Schramm, the president and GM of the Dallas Cowboys, proposed the idea of having a central place for workouts. Before 1982, teams scheduled individual workouts with players. The first National Invitational Camp was held for players to showcase their skills in 1982 in Tampa, Florida.
It was changed to the NFL Combine in 1985 and was held in Arizona and New Orleans before moving to Indianapolis in 1987. The combine was originated by National Football Scouting Inc.
