Buffalo Bills 2023 NFL Mock Draft and Team Needs
The Bills have a franchise quarterback in Josh Allen and a strong roster, but they’ve also fallen short in the playoffs the past two seasons. The team could be looking to add a WR, LB, or safety in the first round The team could add some depth to the offensive line, too.
Linebacker Drew Sanders from Arkansas could be a solid choice at No. 27 overall. He transferred from Alabama to Arkansas and is one of the top linebackers in the class. Sanders would be a nice addition to the defense after losing Tremain Edmunds to the Chicago Bears in free agency.
The Bills could also go with edge rusher Will McDonald IV if he’s still on the board. He’s a talented edge rusher to add some depth alongside star Von Miller. Wide receiver Jordan Addison from USC might be tempting if he’s still on the board at No. 27 to team up with Stefon Diggs on the outside.
The Bills used their first-round pick in the 2022 draft on cornerback Kaiir Elam before picking running back James Cook in the second round. Cook played in 16 games as a rookie and had 507 yards rushing with two touchdowns. Elam started six games and had two interceptions in Buffalo’s secondary which was third on the team behind Jordan Poyer and Matt Milano.
