Post Malone will sing “America the Beautiful” at Super Bowl 58

Post Malone is a Dallas, TX artist who has achieved eight diamond certifications and received four GRAMMY® Award nominations. He is known for blurring boundaries and creating music that inspires internet-breaking conversations. In 2015, he emerged with a genre-less brew that inspired a movement. He delivered the diamond-selling hit “Congratulations” (feat. Quavo), achieved back-to-back #1 debuts on the Billboard Top 200, received countless multi-Platinum certifications around the world, and smashed one record after another with his Hot 100-topping hits.

As of 2023, Post Malone’s catalog includes hits such as “Rockstar” (feat. 21 Savage) and “Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse)” (feat. Swae Lee), both of which have achieved Diamond certifications. He has also released other popular songs like “I Fall Apart,” “Psycho” (feat. Ty Dolla $ign), “White Iverson,” and “Better Now,” many of which have earned multi-Platinum certifications. He has sold out numerous arena tours and hosted and curated his own popular festival, Posty Fest, in 2018 and 2019. It all started with his quintuple-platinum influential 2016 debut, Stoney. With records under his belt that will likely never be surpassed and a generation of artists and audiences worldwide under his spell, Post Malone simply doesn’t stop.

Most recently, Post Malone released his highly anticipated fifth full-length record, AUSTIN, which is self-titled after his legal name. The album is yet another shift in sound for Post and features all live instrumentation produced by Post and his longtime collaborators Louis Bell and Andrew Watt. Cubs MLB Draft

The Cubs Are One Piece Short and I Think They Kind of Know It

Whether you're bullish (like PECOTA) or more conservative (like FanGraphs), the 2025 Chicago Cubs are probably your pick in the NL Central this season. By pretty much every measure — both data-driven and subjective — the Cubs are the class of their division. And yet, I believe they're one piece short of where they should have aimed to be. And I think they know it. First, let's discuss that "where they...

Cubs Sign Infielder Dixon Machado to a Minor League Deal

Having missed out on Alex Bregman, the Chicago Cubs today turned to ... Just kidding. These events have nothing to do with each other. The Cubs apparently felt they needed some additional infield depth at Triple-A (is everyone healthy?), and they've signed old friend Dixon Machado to a minor league deal, per the team transaction wire. Machado, 33 later this month, spent the last two seasons primarily playing at Triple-A...

Jed Hoyer Speaks: The Bregman Pursuit, the Budget Constraints, Moves From Here

Chicago Cubs President of Baseball Operations Jed Hoyer met with the media today in the wake of the team missing out on Alex Bregman, who ultimately chose the Boston Red Sox on a deal that'll pay him $120 million over the next three years, with opt outs after each of the first two years. There are deferrals involved that bring the value down, but it does sound like it was...

A Deep Dive into Starting Pitcher Rankings Not So Kind to the Cubs

I enjoyed reading this, even if I want to make sure and caution as I share: these are FANTASY baseball rankings, which means there are certain performance factors that may not translate one-to-one to things we care about in the real world. Keep that context in mind. That said, these evaluations do offer you a different perspective on how players might perform in the season ahead - the writers, pundits,...

Fourteen years ago today, I became a dad. I have liked it, and her, very much. A small but interesting note up top, via the Sun-Times: the Cubs don't plan yet to put an artificial innings limit on Matthew Boyd from the jump this year, despite the fact that he threw just 73.0 innings last year in his return from Tommy John surgery (minors, bigs, and postseason combined). The 35-year-old...

Hmm, The Padres Are Signing Yet Another Starting Pitcher in Kyle Hart

Although he hadn't gotten a ton of attention in the mix of other available starting pitchers, I was curious to see where lefty Kyle Hart would wind up. So, The Cubs Did Not Get Alex Bregman

The Alex Bregman free agency decision process is at a close, with the third baseman - turned second baseman - choosing the Boston Red Sox on a reported three-year, $120 million deal with opt outs after each of the first two years. The Chicago Cubs were involved to the end, but ultimately came up short. And I feel ........ Meh. Not upset. Not, like, happy or relieved or whatever. But...

Well, that's that. Alex Bregman is not joining the Chicago Cubs this winter and is instead reuniting with his former Astros coach (and current Red Sox Manager), Alex Cora, in Boston. And while I'm not particularly surprised by his choice of team - Boston has long been in the running for Alex Bregman (as well as other third basemen) - I am a little shocked at the deal. The Cubs Are Trying to Kill Two Birds with One Stone (The Stone is Alexander Canario)

Not very long ago, during his first full season in the Cubs organization (2022), Alexander Canario was kind of the hottest thing around.
