Possible Round 1 Targets for LAC
The Chargers have options at number 5 and could see their pick impacted by trades around them. They even might be able to get a team like the Vikings to move up in the draft in exchange for two first-rounders. If the Chargers stay put at number 5, they could find it hard to pass up an elite talent like WR Malik Nabers from LSU.
If the Chargers trade and move down in the draft, they could take an offensive lineman with the 11th pick (if they trade with MIN) and add a wide receiver at number 23. This could leave the Chargers with options like offensive tackle Taliese Fuaga from Oregon State and WR Brian Thomas Jr. from LSU.

Los Angeles Chargers 2023 Season Recap
The Chargers took a step back in 2023 as they went 5-12 overall and missed the playoffs. Justin Herbert missed 4 games with an injury but the team was just 5-8 when he went down. Easton Stick started 4 games and the Chargers lost each game with him at the helm.
The offense was expected to grow after a playoff run in 2022 but the Chargers were just 21st in points and 18th in total yards. Running back Austin Ekeler had just 1,064 yards from scrimmage in 2023 which was a massive drop off from his 1,637 in 2022. Keenan Allen had over 1,200 yards receiving to receive a Pro Bowl nod.
The defensive unit also wasn’t great as it finished 24th in points against and 28th in yards. Khalil Mack was one of the lone bright spots as he recorded 17 sacks, 21 tackles for loss, and forced 5 fumbles in a Pro Bowl season. Safety Derwin James led the team with 125 tackles while linebacker Eric Kendricks was second on the team with 117.
