Bleacher Nation Fantasy Plays โ In Week 9 of the 2024 NFL Season, the Houston Texans and New York Jets will clash on Thursday Night Football. Despite their strong start, the Texans (6-2) are in a tough spot vs the Jets (2-6), playing without their top two receivers in Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs. With that in mind, we have a couple of good spots to target in our Bleacher Nation Fantasy Plays.
Every Thursday Night Football, I’ll break down my favorite Bleacher Nation Fantasy Plays for that night’s game.
What’s Bleacher Nation Fantasy?
Bleacher Nation Fantasy is the newest real-money fantasy game on the market, and also the easiest for players to win real money! Last Thursday, players won at over an 80% clip. And now, they have both NFL and NBA contests to play. Their main game mode, Rivals, is all matchup-based, which is what we’ll focus on here. And the best part? It’s extremely simple. Without parlaying anything at all, you can choose who will have more receiving yards between Garrett Wilson or Tank Dell (plus 60-80 other matchups just like that!)
So without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite picks at Bleacher Nation Fantasy in what should be a low-scoring matchup, as reflected by the 42-point game total.

Breece Hall +15 rushing yards vs Joe Mixon
The Jets are short home favorites in this game, and I like them to win this one. Look for the Texans’ offense to struggle to move the ball without Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs.
While that likely means that Joe Mixon will be fed on the ground, it will be tough to sustain drives with such a limited WR group for C.J. Stroud, especially against a tough Jets’ pass defense that ranks 13th in Pass EPA.
For that reason, I’m projecting the Jets to play with a lead in this one, which means a favorable game script and more rush attempts for Breece Hall.
Hall averaged 5.0 YPC on 16 attempts in the Jets’ loss vs the Patriots, but New York foolishly kept giving Braelon Allen the ball (2.7 YPC on 12 attempts). Bet on the Jets correcting this mistake and feeding their stud running back in this one.
It’s also worth noting that we saw the Texans show some holes in run defense last week, allowing Jonathan Taylor to rush for 105 yards on 20 attempts (5.3 YPC).
For these reasons, I have to go with Breece Hall +15 rushing yards vs Joe Mixon in this Rivals matchup on Bleacher Nation Fantasy.
Garrett Wilson -5 Receiving Yards vs Tank Dell
Since the Jets acquired Davante Adams, Garrett Wilson has caught 10-of-17 targets for 174 yards. Meanwhile, Adams has seven catches for 84 yards during this stretch.
Wilson has been the better player in this limited sample, so I don’t mind laying the -5 in receiving yards against Tank Dell, especially against a Texans defense that got burned by Josh Downs for 109 yards last week.
On top of that, while Dell is slated to be the top target for Houston with Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs out, we have to acknowledge that this is not the same player as last season.
It’s clear that Dell has been held back as he’s returning from a fractured fibula, as he’s put up only 1.2 yards per route run, which ranks 75th among wideouts with at least 100 routes.
Now that Dell is the top target, that means more attention from the opposing defense, including Jets’ elite corner Sauce Gardner.
Add in the fact that C.J. Stroud is averaging only 196 passing yards per game in outdoor games throughout his career, and it could be tough sledding for the Texans’ passing game.
That means it may be difficult for Dell to get loose downfield, so I’m laying the points with Wilson in this spot.
