After the Divisional Playoffs, four more teams have their first-round draft slots locked in. Let’s take a look at who those teams might take in round 1 as they address team needs heading into the 2025 season.
2025 NFL Mock Draft
The Texans, Rams, Ravens, and Lions are set for picks 25-28 after losing this past weekend in the NFL Playoffs. Let’s check out a 2025 NFL mock draft to see how the first round could shake out.
1. *Raiders – Shedeur Sanders (QB, Colorado)
*Trade with Titans.
It is going to be a wild ride leading up to the NFL Draft with teams like the Titans, Browns, Giants, and Raiders needing quarterbacks with only two legitimate first-round options available. The Raiders might get scared and move up to no. 1 on draft day to score a franchise quarterback. If they do, they take Shedeur Sanders and start building for the future. It’s a risk to give up multiple first-round picks but Las Vegas has an insane amount of cap room to address depth at other positions in free agency.

2. Browns – Abdul Carter (EDGE, Penn State)
The Browns are in a mess of a situation at quarterback and need to figure out an option moving forward. With that being said, Abdul Carter is the best player in the draft and an elite edge rusher. Pairing him up with Myles Garrett could give the Browns the most dangerous pass rush in the NFL for the next couple of years. They could then look at a bridge year at quarterback or snag an option like Quinn Ewers later in the draft.
3. Giants – Cam Ward (QB, Miami FL)
Cam Ward has gotten better each year as a starter along with showing he has the arm strength and touch to excel at the next level. The Giants scoop him up at no. 3 and get their quarterback of the future. Ward threw 39 touchdown passes in 2024 while leading the Hurricanes to a 10-3 record.

4. Patriots – Kelvin Banks Jr. (OT, Texas)
The Patriots need to build a strong offensive line around young quarterback Drake Maye and they will definitely be looking to add a talented tackle like Kelvin Banks Jr. at number 4 overall. After a year of injuries and inconsistent play on their line, the Pats need to add talent and depth quickly in the draft.
5. Jaguars – Will Johnson (CB, Michigan)
The Jaguars need a boost in their secondary as several players are hitting contract years in 2025. Will Johnson is an elite corner with the ability to shut down top wideouts. While he was hurt most of the 2024 season, we saw what he could do in 2023 when he helped Michigan win a national title. He’s long (6’2″) and has the athletic ability to match up with anyone. The Jags need help at receiver and interior offensive line too, but it might be too early at no. 5 to pull the trigger.
6. *Titans – Travis Hunter (WR/CB, Colorado)
*Trade with the Raiders. Titans receive 2025 1st and 2nd round picks + 2026 1st and 2nd Round Picks.
The Titans move down to no. 6 after trading with the Raiders and boost their draft assets by scoring more picks including a first-rounder in 2026. This means they can have one more bridge year at quarterback and take an elite player like Travis Hunter at no. 6. Hunter can play on both sides of the ball and will be dangerous no matter how the Titans plan to use him.
7. Jets – Mason Graham (DT, Michigan)
The Jets need a quarterback but the best options will be gone by no. 7. This means they address gaps on their defensive line by adding a monster like Mason Graham. He can stuff the run and is good as a pass rusher too. He will give the unit a massive boost right from the get-go.
8. Panthers – Mykel Williams (Edge, Georiga)
The Panthers should boost their defensive line in round 1 and that could be off the edge or on the interior. Since Mason Graham is off the board, the Panthers go with a great edge rusher in Mykel Williams from Georgia. He easily slips off blocks and would be an instant upgrade in Carolina.
9. Saints – James Pearce Jr. (Edge, Tennessee)
The Saints struggled on both sides of the ball and ended up 5-12 with quarterback Derek Carr missing much of the season. The defense could use a boost when it comes to getting after the quarterback and the edge rusher class is strong for 2025. James Pearce Jr. fills that need and has the potential to beat a great pro.
10. Bears – Josh Simmons (OT, Ohio State)
The offensive line in Chicago needs upgrades everywhere for the Bears as they look to protect Caleb Williams this fall. Josh Simmons is coming off an injury but he is looking like an elite pass blocker on tape and would be a nice fit in Chicago.
11. 49ers – Walter Nolen (DT, Ole Miss)
The 49ers need to add depth to the defensive line to team up with Nick Bosa to return to being one of the better teams in the league up front. They could easily go edge rusher here but they also need help on the inside and Walter Nolen gets into the backfield easily and can fight off double teams.
12. Cowboys – Ashton Jeanty (RB, Boise State)
The Cowboys need a running back as their run game in 2024 was awful. Ashton Jeanty is a top-5 talent in the draft and showed just how dominant he can be with 2,601 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns at Boise State in 2024. He is probably too good for the Cowboys to pass up.
13. Dolphins – Malaki Starks (S, Georgia)
The Dolphins will need to add depth everywhere in their secondary and they could add the best safety in the draft in Malaki Starks here. Starks has played all over the field at Georgia and is an extremely versatile player with a great football IQ. He has the tools to be an immediate impact player for Miami.
14. Colts – Tyler Warren (TE, Penn State)
The Colts need help on the interior offensive line but No. 14 might be too early for that. Adding a weapon on offense like Tyler Warren would go a long way for Anthony Richardson’s development. Warren is a great route runner who has good instincts which help him settle into open windows for his quarterback.
15. Falcons – Nic Scourton (Edge, Texas A&M)
The Falcons were sixth worst in the NFL in pass rush win rate. They also haven’t had a double-digit sack defender since 2016. They need help off the edge and Nic Scourton can get to the quarterback in a lot of different ways. He has the size and strength to set the edge as Atlanta looks to boost their front seven.
16. Cardinals – Jalon Walker (Edge, Georgia)
The Cardinals need help up front on defensive and that could come off the edge or on the interior. Jalon Walker is a top-15 talent and will be an immediate upgrade for the defensive unit in Arizona. If Walter Nolen is available here, Arizona might pull the trigger to boost their interior defensive line.
17. Bengals – Benjamin Morrison (CB, Notre Dame)
The Bengals have gaps to fill on offense but their defense was rough in 2024. They need to start in the secondary and get an athletic corner to match up with the top receivers in the league. Benjamin Morrison is a tough and physical press corner who flashes good timing while being a solid tackler.
18. Seahawks – Tyler Booker (OG, Alabama)
The Seahawks biggest question mark heading into 2025 is the offensive line. Recent draft picks have not performed well as Geno Smith has been beaten up over the last two seasons. Tyler Booker from Alabama adds a nice piece to the interior offensive line in Seattle.
19. Buccaneers – Tetairoa McMillan (WR, Arizona)
The Bucs need help at linebacker but Baker Mayfield is looking at a wide receiver group in 2025 that might be lacking a number 1 target for years to come. Tetairoa McMillan is the best wideout in the draft and he is a huge target (6’5″) with a wide catch radius.
20. Broncos – Colston Loveland (TE, Michigan)
Bo Nix showed he is the quarterback of the future after a stellar rookie season for Denver. They give him another option on offense by adding Colston Loveland. He’s a smooth route runner and a big target (6’5″) that should pull some focus from opposing defenses.
21. Steelers – Shavon Revel Jr. (CB, ECU)
Pittsburgh needs a quarterback but there isn’t anyone talented enough for them to take at no. 21. Besides that, the Steelers need to find another option in the secondary to team up with Joey Porter Jr. While Shavon Revel Jr. is coming off an ACL injury, his tape is excellent showing great athleticism and length which helps him match up with just about anyone.
22. Chargers – Tyleik Williams (DT, Ohio State)
The Chargers need help on defense including off the edge, defensive tackle, and in the secondary at safety. If a player like Jalon Walker or James Pearce Jr. slides in the draft, they would likely take them. If not, they can go on the interior with Tyleik Williams who is a big interior run stuffer with active hands.
23. Packers – Jahdae Barron (CB, Texas)
Cornerback is high on the Packers’ list of needs as we saw Jaire Alexander deal with injuries this year and Eric Stokes is headed for free agency. Jahdae Barron is the best available cornerback here and he can cover in the slot as well as on the outside which would be a huge boost for the Packers.
24. Vikings – Derrick Harmon (DT, Oregon)
The Vikings would love to add a cornerback here as their secondary will take a hit during free agency. The issue is the first-round talents are off the board so they have to pivot to the defensive line. Derrick Harmon is a versatile defensive lineman who is quick and strong.
25. Texans – Emeka Egbuka (WR, Ohio State)
The Texans see players like Stefon Diggs and Robert Woods heading for free agency which means they could be looking to find a versatile wide receiver. Emeka Egbuka is great at exploiting soft spots in zone coverage. He would be a nice fit to give CJ Stroud another weapon and a former teammate.
26. Rams – Josh Conerly Jr. (OT, Oregon)
Tackles Alaric Jackson and Joe Noteboom are headed for free agency and the Rams might not be able to re-sign both players. This means they could address the position early in the draft with a player like Josh Conerly Jr.
27. Ravens – Will Campbell (OT, LSU)
The Ravens play a physical style of football and it makes sense they will add more depth to their offensive line at the end of the first round. Will Campbell is a safe pick here that adds a boost to the offensive line for Baltimore.
28. Lions – Jared Ivey (Edge, Ole Miss)
We saw against the Bills in the regular season and the Commanders in the playoffs how the Lions were in tough shape without an effective pass rush. They need to add a sold edge rusher to team up with Aidan Hutchinson so they can get after the quarterback. Detroit takes the best available player off the edge here which is Jared Ivey.
29. Commanders – Shemar Turner (Edge, Texas A&M)
The Commanders are in the midst of an incredible season as they have flipped from having the no. 2 pick to playing in the NFC Championship Game. Adding an edge rusher for 2025 would be huge and give their defense more depth when it comes to getting after the quarterback.
30. Bills – Nick Emmanwori (S, South Carolina)
There are a lot of routes the Bills could end up going here depending on how the first round shakes out. They definitely need help in the secondary and Nick Emmanwori would be a huge help to the unit. Emmanwori is a versatile safety with size, length, and plenty of range.
31. Eagles – Tre Harris (WR, Ole Miss)
The Eagles would gladly take an edge rusher that falls into their lap late in the first round but they might be flying off the board. They could add another wideout here and take Tre Harris from Ole Miss. He’s a big target and is great at fighting for yards after the catch. Philly might address linebacker here too which means they could select a player like Jihaad Campbell from Alabama.
32. Chiefs – Tacario Davis (CB, Arizona)
We could see the Chiefs trading back if they end up winning the Super Bowl again and land the last pick in the first round. If they stick with the pick, they need help at cornerback, wide receiver, and defensive tackle. Tacario Davis is crazy long (6’4″) and should add some depth to the secondary in Kansas City.
