Later this afternoon, the Bears and Saints meet in the third and final NFC Super Wild Card postseason matchup. If you’re looking to bet on the action, then you’re in the right place with this Bears-Saints betting prop preview.
There figures to be substantial betting action for this game, so let’s take a closer look at some the best Bears vs. Saints prop picks and bets.
The New Orleans Saints will host the Chicago Bears in what is the second meeting between the teams this season. New Orleans managed to squeak out a 26-23 overtime victory at Soldier Field back in November, which marked its sixth consecutive victory over Chicago dating back to 2011.
While this would appear to be a game heavily favoring the Saints, it’s worth noting that despite possessing the league’s No. 22 scoring offense this season, the Bears have been the 7th-highest-scoring team in the NFL since Week 12. Could the Bears’ revitalized offense help pull off a shocking upset?

Bears v. Saints Player Props
Alvin Kamara to Score a Touchdown (-185, FanDuel)
Alvin Kamara is the engine that makes the Saints offense simultaneously so dangerous and so dynamic. He went on an absolute tear in the second half of the season, finding pay dirt in seven of his last eight games. If we exclude the absolutely insane SIX rushing TDs he scored on Christmas Day, he tallied eight touchdowns (six rushing, two receiving) in six of seven games. The crazy thing is he didn’t even total 100 yards in a single game over that stretch prior to the Christmas Day blowout. Oddly enough, Chicago was one of only four teams all season to keep Kamara out of the endzone. That said, it’s hard to envision the dual threat being kept out of the endzone in the playoff opener.

David Montgomery to Score a Touchdown (+160, PointsBet)
David Montgomery was one of the hottest running backs in the league down the stretch, scoring a touchdown in six consecutive games to close out the regular season, including two games with two touchdowns. Like Kamara, he was kept out of the endzone against in the first meeting.
It’s worth noting that Montgomery’s value surged once Mitchell Trubisky took over as the starting QB in Week 12. Since then, the Bears have rushed for 144.2 yards per game, which is the sixth-highest mark in the NFL over that stretch. Their 30.2 points per game over that same time was good for 7th in the league. He’ll be relied on heavily in this one. PointsBet has this one boosted from +125 to +160, which is the best value out there on this market.
David Montgomery Over 87.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards (-112, FanDuel)
While this player market doesn’t pay an outrageous multiplier on your investment, it’s an unbelievably good deal considering Montgomery’s recent form. While the aforementioned bet is reliant entirely on his ability to get into the endzone, this one is a pretty reliable bet based on usage alone. Montgomery’s last six games of the regular season saw him easily eclipse 87.5 rushing + receiving yards:
- vs. Green Bay (132 yards)
- @ Jacksonville (121 yards)
- @ Minnesota (162 yards)
- vs. Houston (155 yards)
- vs. Detroit (111 yards)
- @ Green Bay (143 yards)
In their prior matchup this season, Montgomery rushed for 89 yards on 21 carries and caught two passes for 16 yards for a total of 105 yards.
Allen Robinson Over 70.5 Receiving Yards (-112, DraftKings)
Allen Robinson has had a relatively consistent year despite a fluid quarterback situation as both Mitchell Trubisky and Nick Foles earned a number of starts, with the former being benched for the latter until a season-ending injury resulted in his return to the starting lineup. Robinson went for over 70.5 receiving yards in five consecutive games before his squad was absolutely decimated by the Packers in their season finale. Overall, he had at least 70 yards in twelve of sixteen games this season. The resurgence of the Bears’ rushing game has paid dividends for Robinson, as it has kept opposing defenses honest, allowing him to take advantage of single coverage. In his only game against New Orleans saw him haul in six receptions for 87 yards.
Bears vs. Saints Prediction
Game Pick: This game should be a relatively high-scoring affair with the Saints pulling out the win. If you can find the Bears at +10 or can tease it up to +11 or +12 with minimal impact, consider parlaying it with the Saints to win.
