FanDuel Illinois Launches $100 Pre-Registration Bonus

FanDuel Illinois has decided to offer a pre-registration bonus nearly a month before legal online sportsbook registrations are once again permitted online in the Prairie State. This gives prospective bettors plenty of time to lock in a fantastic $100 pre-registration bonus, which can be used one game, league, and player markets in the FanDuel Sportsbook app.

This bonus is effectively free money. Once a bettor pre-registers, they’ll earn a $100 bonus in site credit. As soon as Illinois lifts the in-person registration requirement on March 5, 2022, bettors will be able to officially register with FanDuel Illinois. Until that time, bettors can pre-register for a bonus that will go live on March 5. Any bettor in Illinois looking to load up ahead of March Madness should absolutely consider this offer.

How to Pre-Register for FanDuel Illinois

The pre-registration process only takes a few minutes to complete. Doing so will earn bettors a $100 bonus in site credit.

  • Fill in the required information fields.
  • Earn your $100 bonus.

You will be awarded a $100 bonus after completing the pre-registration process. This bonus will be available once bettors are permitted to officially register for a legal online sportsbook account. At that point, you will be able to use your site credit bonus, make a deposit, and bet on game and player props.

How Did We Get Here, Again?

If this feels like déjà vu, you’re probably not alone. Illinois online sports betting technically launched in the summer of 2020. Governor JB Pritzker issued an executive order in June 2020 that waived the in-person requirement for registering for an online sportsboook account. Keep in mind that this happened in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. While the order lapsed a month later, Pritzker was able to reinstate the executive order in August 2020.

The governor renewed the order a few times, but it finally lapsed again in April 2021. Bettors have been forced to register in-person at a casino in order to sign up an online sportsbook account. That in-person requirement is set to end on March 5, 2022. Bettors who pre-register for a FanDuel Illinois account will then be able to use their $100 pre-registration bonus, as well as any other money they deposit, on games including March Madness, which will begin eight days later.
