San Francisco can beat you in a variety of ways. Christian McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell are an impressive Running Back duo. Deebo Samuel is a versatile player with the ball in his hands. George Kittle is one of the best Tight Ends in the league. Led by Fred Warner and Defensive Player of the Year favorite Nick Bosa, the 49ers defense is also stout.
The 49ers won the NFC West with a 13-4 record. They beat their division rivals Seattle in the Wild Card round 41-23 and beat Dallas 19-12 to advance to the NFC Championship Game.
This is the 49ers’ sixth NFC Championship Game appearance since 2011. The 49ers are seeking their first Super Bowl appearance since 2019 and their first Super Bowl championship since 1994.
How The Eagles Reached The NFC Championship Game
The Eagles were the dominant team in the NFC most of the season. Philadelphia started the season 13-1 before Jalen Hurts was sidelined for a couple of weeks with an injury. The Eagles still finished 14-3 and earned the top seed in the NFC.
The Eagles got a bye in the Wild Card round. They blew out the Giants 38-7 in the Divisional Round to advance to Sunday’s conference championship game. The Eagles are currently betting favorites to win the Super Bowl.
Philadelphia has a balanced attack on offense led by the MVP finalist Jalen Hurts. The Eagles investment at Wide Receiver with AJ Brown and Devonta Smith has paid off and Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell provide balance in the run game.
