Ambetter Health 400 Picks and Predictions: It’s Corey Lajoie week
Nascar makes its way to Atlanta for the first of two races at mini-Daytona mired in controversy. Hendrick Motorsports drivers Alex Bowman, Kyle Larson, and William Byron were penalized heavily for what Nascar deemed modified parts. And Denny Hamlin was docked points and fined for admitting to intentionally running rival Ross Chastain into the wall. Quite the leadup to Sunday but none of that will affect my Ambetter Health 400 Picks.
Ambetter Health 400 Opening Odds
2022 was the debut of the new Atlanta and just like Nascar had hoped, it looked like a mini superspeedway. We saw Daytona-like pack racing, leaders galore, and plenty of wrecks. Unlike traditional superspeedways though, one manufacturer looked to have a clear advantage over the rest.
This was Chevy who had five of the top six finishers in the Spring. Then had five of the top seven finishers during the Fall. Among the Chevy teams, there was one that stood above the rest.
That team is the recently penalized HMS. They led 278 of the 585 laps; won 5 of the 6 total stages; and won both races. William Byron in Spring and hometown hero Chase Elliott in the Fall.
Ambetter Health 400 Picks – Pre-Practice/Qualifying Values
Like Daytona and Talladega, it’s wise to avoid too much action this week but nonetheless, there are still odds I like. Below is a Top 10 I think is worth a shot.
Corey Lajoie Top 10 +500 (FanDuel) Bet .5u to win 2.5u
Lajoie is always a favorite of bettors on supers and this week is no different for me. He finished 5th here in the Spring last season. Then led a total of 19 laps and was in the lead with 3 to go in Fall.
It is surprising to note that Corey has only one other top 10 on superspeedways since the beginning of 2021. No matter, I’m a believer and his T10 odds are no better than +225 anywhere else this market is offered.

After back to back big weeks we took a small loss during the United Rentals 500 but hit our 3rd consecutive Best Bet. Hopefully we find our groove again down South in Atlanta. Good luck this week!
