The best tournament in all of sports has arrived! For the next two months, night-in and night-out teams will battle it out for a chance to win the Stanley Cup – or in my opinion, the greatest trophy in sports. One of the games kicking off the Stanley Cup Playoffs tonight will be the record-setting Boston Bruins hosting the Florida Panthers. The Bruins set NHL regular-season records with 135 points and 65 wins over the 82-game campaign. Their Atlantic Division rivals Florida Panthers struggled at times this year but rallied in the second half to get themselves back into the playoff picture. Their reward is a date with Boston
The teams played four games against each other in the regular season with both teams winning two games, though one of Florida’s wins came in Overtime.

Total Goals Over 6.5
Boston has been great on both ends of the ice this season, and Linus Ullmark has essentially locked up the Vezina Trophy as the league’s best goaltender. That said, Florida has been one team that has been able to score on the Bruins this season.
The Panthers have scored 3+ goals in all four games against Boston this season and average 3.75 goals per game in those matchups. The Bruins on the other hand averaged 3.66 goals per game as a team this season and 4.25 goals per game against the Panthers. All four games between these two teams went over the 6.5 total.
Bruins Moneyline
This is a bit of a “don’t think, just shoot” pick for me. Boston is the best team in the NHL. Their roster is LOADED with NHL Playoff experience and has several players who have won the Stanley Cup. They play at home against a Florida team and core that has struggled in their limited playoff appearances. This current Panthers core hasn’t won a 2nd Round game yet despite winning last year’s President’s Trophy. Give me the loaded team with playoff experience in Game 1.
Jake DeBrusk Anytime Goal
Jake DeBrusk had himself a really nice regular season with 27 goals in 64 games. He played very well against Florida as well recording 2 goals and 4 points in 3 games vs the Panthers. DeBrusk also has a ton of playoff games to his name with 66 career postseason contests played even though he’s in just his 6th NHL season.
Sam Reinhart Anytime Goal
Similar to DeBrusk, Reinhart has had success putting the puck in the net against his Round 1 opponent. Reinhart scored 31 goals in 82 games for the Panthers this season. Three of those goals came in the four matchups with Boston. Throughout his career, Reinhart has 11 goals in 35 games against Boston.
