Yes, sports betting is legal in Vermont! The state officially went live on January 11, 2024. The governor signed a sports betting bill into law back in June 2023. Bettors can place wagers with top sportsbooks like Fanatics Sportsbook, DraftKings and FanDuel, which all earned sports betting licenses in the state.

FanDuel and DraftKings won bids to operate in the state as Vermont is only allowing 2-6 sportsbook licenses to be granted. Fanatics Sportsbook also was approved. The state could still add more sportsbooks later in 2024 now that sports betting is live.

In December, FanDuel and DraftKings were approved to operate in the state and the board announced a go-live date of January 11, 2024, for online sports betting.
