Ryan Merritt is the Cleveland Indians starter who began yesterday’s NLCS clincher with 4.1 scoreless innings. And while that wasn’t exactly an entirely dominant performance, Indians’ fans take care of their own.
No really, they do.
Ryan Merritt may have some plans for the rest of October, but after that he plans on getting married. And, like most soon-to-be-married people, he registered for a number of various kitchen appliances and knickknacks on website called theknot.com. What doesn’t usually happen, however, is Jonah Keri finding your registry and tweeting it out for the world to see.

Little did he know, Cleveland fans started going bananas, purchasing things for the nearly-wedded couple off their registry.
So it looks like this was Ryan Merritt's wedding registry after all (h/t @jessespector). Go get 'em, @Indians fans. https://t.co/jCZy5o8Xyy

Click through the responses for the tweet above (and around Twitter) and you can see picture confirmation of fans purchasing anything from towels, pizza cutters, deep fryers and more from his registry. In fact, nearly everything has now been fulfilled.
What a ridiculous, but thoughtful world we live in.
