Halloween at age 32 when you’re a single man is buying candy for potential trick-or-treaters and secretly hoping none stop by so you can have all the candy to yourself. Selfish? Yes. Delicious? Also, yes.
Mic’d up Matt Nagy is everything you need to start your day right:

So far, so good for the Nagy era. One of the big concerns coming into this thing was that an offensive-minded head coach can sometimes lose tabs on what’s happening on the other side of the ball. But when you watch that video, you see him giving words of encouragement to Leonard Floyd, Adrian Amos, and Aaron Lynch, giving dap to Bryce Callahan and Eddie Jackson. That just felt good to watch.
Also, how can you not love the exchange between Nagy and Trubisky. “I’m going to challenge you right now, these two quarters for greatness.” “Yes sir.” “I want to see it come out of you right here.” “Yes sir.” “You take this thing over right now.” “Yes sir.” I could use a good pep talk like that.
Through seven games, Nagy has been the breath of fresh air the Bears and their fans hoped he would be. The offense ranks in the top-10 in scoring average and yards per game. And while you would probably assume that an improved passing game is boosting the Bears, let’s point out that their 137.6 rushing yards per game is the third highest in football. As far as the aerial attack is concerned, Chicago is slacking a bit with a 245.1 yards per game average that ranks 21st in the 32-team league. Just wait until that aspect of the game fully gets into gear.
The Bears are pretty darn good at running plays out of the old school “21 personnel” (a.k.a. 2 running backs, 1 tight end, 2 wide receivers):
Now here’s a terrifying thought for you on Halloween: Imagine being forced to do so without Tarik Cohen and Jordan Howard …. oooooooohh. Spooky.
Charles Leno Jr. has been a terror for opposing pass-rushers, and Stephen Letizia of Da Bears Brothers believes it’s time to start giving him his props. Indeed, I’d argue that Leno has been the Bears’ most underrated lineman for a few years now and he might just be the offense’s most underrated player. Afteir all, he hasn’t been bitten by the injury bug, which has created a steady and reliable presence, and he’s Pro Football Focus’ sixth-highest-graded tackle and owner of the third best pass-blocking grade among players at the position. Yeah, dude’s awesome.
This is too funny:
The Bears have had some spooky quarterback situations over the years, but I’m not sure there’s been a time where it’s been so bad that a newly signed wide receiver might be the best player at the position:
In an attempt to extend the Halloween celebration into Sunday, Bears pass-rushers should dress like Khalil Mack:
