All Signs Are Pointing to Jaylon Johnson’s Return on Thursday

All signs are pointing to Chicago Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson returning to the starting lineup on Thursday Night Football.

Johnson, who has been nursing a quad injury since before Week 3, was (once again!) a full participant in Tuesday’s walk-through practice. That’s two in a row for Johnson, who was doing some light on-field work before last Sunday’s Vikings game. An up-tick in work and progress on the injury report sure makes it seem like Johnson will re-join his teammates on Thursday.

If that isn’t enough, then let’s underscore how Defensive Coordinator Alan Williams was talking about Johnson’s pending return:

When your coaches talk about you like that, it’s easy to assume a return is imminent.

As for the entire injury report, here we go:

Seeing wide receiver N’Keal Harry pop up as a limited participant due to the ankle injury that had him on IR since September was something of a vibe killer. I’m looking forward to seeing Harry suit up in a Bears uniform, line up in formation, and run some routes. And, I suppose, do some run-blocking (something he excelled at while in New England). Maybe Wednesday’s practice report will reveal some progress. If not, Harry will likely go from limited on the injury report to limited when it comes to game action (if he is active at all).

One more injury report to go this week. How about another with some positive news?
