A diving outfield catch is sort of the quintessential baseball highlight – in that although they happen quite a bit, they’re still extremely fun to watch/impressive just about every time you see one.
But the catch (and subsequent double play) Randal Grichuk made against the Rangers last night was … eh hem … not one I’ve seen before.
Watch and laugh (and then be amazed!) as Grichuk stumbles and falls flat on his face with his glove stretched out in the perfect spot to still make the catch:
