Technically speaking, Mets 2B/OF Jeff McNeil is not hitting for as much power this season as he has throughout his career. Going into last night’s game, he had launched just 1 home run in 160 PAs and generated the second lowest ISO (isolated power) and SLG percentage of his career.
But the guy is still a professional hitter, and I don’t think anyone should be poking fun at a slash line that looks like this: .311/.364/.444 (136 wRC+).
And yet … heckers gonna heckle. This one just had absolutely horrible timing, poking fun at Jeff McNeil’s legs and lack of power moments before he absolutely destroyed a baseball.
