When NFL teams have to do the quick turnaround to play on Thursday’s Thanksgiving games after getting it in on Sunday, the NFL rules order teams to put out an injury report as if practice was held.
The Bears did just that, and here is what it looks like:

Based on earlier reports regarding injuries suffered by right tackle Bobby Massie and defensive back/special teams ace Sherrick McManis, it is no surprise both were listed as non participants in practice. The same can be said about tight end Adam Shaheen (foot) and linebacker Danny Trevathan (elbow), who have been out of action for a few weeks now.
That leaves tight end Ben Braunecker and Taylor Gabriel as the players to be listed under “did not practice” on the injury report. Both would have missed practice due to concussion issues. Head injuries are nothing to rush back from, so I think it is unlikely that either plays because clearing concussion protocol before Thursday’s kickoff seems like a mighty big ask. If that happens to be the case, Jesper Horsted will move up the depth chart behind Braunecker. Perhaps 2019 fourth-round draft pick Riley Ridley could be activated if Gabriel can’t give it a go. This is the second time Gabriel has dealt with concussion symptoms this season, so I would expect the Bears to be extra cautious while working him back into the lineup.
