The USA played Canada in a warm-up game before the start of the 2024 World Junior Championship on Saturday and the Blackhawks had four skaters in the lineup. Frank Nazar was centering the second line, Oliver Moore was bumped up to the top line on the left wing, Gavin Hayes was still skating on the right wing on the fourth line and Sam Rinzel was on the third defensive pair.

With the USA trailing 2-1 in the second period, the two Minnesota Gophers and Blackhawks prospects took over. Rinzel and Moore scored goals as the Americans quickly stormed to a 4-2 lead. Here’s the Rinzel goal:
