The Chicago Bulls shot 39.2 percent and a dismal 21.6 percent from behind the arc in Friday night’s 98-81 loss to the Sacramento Kings. In the team’s first game without Lauri Markkanen this season (who is now out for 4-6 weeks), the offense noticeably lacked another go-to scorer. Even with how much The Finnisher struggled this season, tonight showed how important he is to the Bulls offensive attack.
As you can imagine, Zach LaVine carried the load once again tonight, delivering his 13th-straight 20+ point performance. As you might also imagine, however, the rest of the team failed to carry their own weight, with the bench scoring only 28 points total.
LaVine was the only Bulls to score over 11 points.
Anyway, buckle-up, because the Bulls will likely have at least four more weeks of this nonsense. Daniel Gafford could be returning something in the near future, but with no Markkanen, Wendell Carter Jr., (and still) Otto Porter, the next month of this season could be really ugly.
