Over the offseason, word started to spread that each NBA team could receive a new court design for the NBA In-Season Tournament. Now, the rumors have been confirmed.
The NBA unveiled the look for all 30 NBA teams, and I think it’s safe to say the league has NEVER done anything like this before. Not only will each court feature the NBA Cup logo at center court, but they’ve chosen some bold colors to represent each time.
To no surprise, the Chicago Bulls’ court will be entirely red. A black-and-white Bulls logo will then sit over the NBA Cup in the middle of the floor.
Below is the image the NBA released on Monday:
The Chicago Bulls also provided us with a little sneak peek of what things should look like when they host their first In-Season Tournament game on Nov. 3 against Brooklyn.
Take a look:
I can totally get behind something like this for a couple of games this season. While I still have my doubts about how competitive this In-Season Tournament will be, I love that the NBA is blowing it up. They want this to feel like a big deal, and shaking things up with a crazy court is one way to do just that.
Anyway, for a look at some of the other wild designs, check out the NBA’s post here.
