Odds

Chicago comes into tonight’s game as 11-point favorites against the Pistons at FanDuel Illinois Sportsbook and DraftKings Sportsbook.

What to Watch For

  • The Chicago Bulls completely embarrassed themselves the last time these two teams faced off. They lost 105-95 on their home floor and shot just 2-29 from long range in one of the single-worst 3-point shooting performances the NBA has ever seen. While I wish I could say that avoiding a historically bad offensive night should win the Bulls this game, I can’t really put anything past this group. This is especially true when we consider that they’ve had their fair share of problems against higher-paced teams. The Pistons rank 10th in percent of possessions started in transition.
  • One easy way to push this game out of reach is to capitalize on turnovers. The Pistons fork over the most points off their mistakes per game at 19.6. Meanwhile, the Bulls still rank top 10 in points scored off turnovers. Let’s hope Alex Caruso is ready to feast!
  • The absence of Andre Drummond could pose a slight problem in this one. Jalen Duren is one of the fiercest rebounders in the NBA, and we’ve already seen him give Nikola Vucevic some trouble with his raw athleticism this season. I guess the good news is that Detroit doesn’t also have Isaiah Stewart or Ausar Thompson, who both grabbed 8 or more rebounds during their last meeting with Chicago.
