Somebody gather up the All-Defensive Team voters, I got a video to show them!
The Chicago Bulls’ digital team decided to brighten our offseason with a 20-minute highlight reel of Alex Caruso’s embarrassing opponents. The upload on the team’s YouTube page came on the same day Caruso was awarded a second-straight All-Defensive Team honor. Unfortunately, however, Caruso failed to crack the First Team like he did one season ago. The new positionless voting seemingly favored big men, as not a single guard appeared in the top 5.
I don’t know about you, but I find it hard to make the case against Caruso for the First Team, especially after watching this latest video. Whether it be a fierce strip on LeBron James, stuffing big man Alperen Sengun, or poking the ball away from Jalen Brunson in the final seconds, Caruso showed he can stop anyone at any time.
Seriously, when you go through the video, just pay attention to (1) the range of players Caruso guarded and (2) the timing of his biggest plays. We all know DeMar DeRozan deserves a lot of the credit for this group’s clutch success, but the same can be said about Alex Caruso.
Anyway, less talking and more watching. I’ll drop the video below, but you can also watch it on YouTube here. Enjoy! I know I did!
