Hall is just 29, and tremendously talented. He’ll catch on somewhere, and if it’s the Cardinals, he’ll fulfill that MVP prediction.
Hardy, 26, isn’t hitting for squat this year, so the demotion – and subsequent promotion of superstar prospect Alcides Escobar – makes sense. Of course, as MLBTradeRumors points out, the fact that it forestalls Hardy’s impending free agency for another year is just a side benefit.
Castro is now a former pitcher coach. Whatever.
