All right. Yesterday is gone. Today’s game is here. It’s an important game to win, just as tomorrow’s game will be an important game to win. Day after that, too. And even when the Cubs aren’t playing the Cardinals, those games will be important, too.
Kyle Hendricks goes for the Cubs, and here’s hoping he has one of those dominant performances (or super lucky ones, I guess) that brings the peripherals in line with the production. I think Hendricks has been much better than his results this year.
The Cubs’ lineup has been shifted around a bit and there are a couple new relievers in tow – let’s hope those things, plus the young starter on the mound for the Cardinals helps the Cubs score nine runs.
