Yesterday was the reset button. Things came before yesterday, but I only vaguely recall them.
Kyle Hendricks kicks things off tonight for the Cubs, who will face frequent flyer on the rumor jet, Jon Niese. Last time the Cubs faced Niese, they knocked him around and put him out of the game early.
Being that the Cubs are facing a lefty – which they almost never do this year, apparently – you can really see what has happened to their bench. On paper, it’s not a overly-terrifying lineup. At least they’ve got some good splits working in their favor.
